Cuatrecasas advises Essity on acquiring 94% of Productos Familia

The Cuatrecasas team in Bogotá, led by partner Juan Felipe Vera and associate Pablo Martínez, was the main advisor to Essity regarding its signing of an agreement to acquire 94% of Productos Familia S.A. through a takeover bid. Thanks to this transaction, Essity, the leading global company in the personal hygiene industry, will increase its shareholding in the Colombian company Productos Familia S.A., in which it has been an owner since 1985, by approximately 44%.

The transaction, whose closure is subject to the corresponding government authorizations, strengthens the companies’ strategic and geographical leadership.
