Cuatrecasas stands out in year marked by high M&A activity in Spain

Cuatrecasas has closed 2021 on a high note by breaking the record of the number of merger and acquisition transactions closed throughout the year in Spain and Portugal. According to the league tables published by Mergermarket, the law firm totaled 149 transactions.

For the second consecutive year, it ranks in first place for the total volume of closed transactions in Spain and among the three best firms for the financial value of those transactions.

The firm also stands out for having advised on two transactions that were considered the most important of the year, carried out mainly in Spain.

Cuatrecasas continues to be a benchmark law firm advising on foreign investments, having participated in obtaining the corresponding authorization for major complex transactions in 2021.

In a year marked by a high level of activity in the M&A market, Cuatrecasas has occupied a prominent position among the leading law firms in the Spanish rankings, both for the value and importance of the transactions that it advised on and for the amount of them.
