Counsel for the state on leave of absence; expert in public law and disputes in civil and judicial-review courts, defending and strategically advising private companies and public-sector entities on lawsuits of an administrative nature.
Alejandro Auset advises and defends clients in administrative proceedings and judicial reviews related to hiring processes and public tenders; authorizations and concessions; disciplinary and expropriation proceedings and proceedings involving the public administration’s liability in areas such as maritime-terrestrial public domain, water resources, transport, tourism and telecommunications.
He advises clients on (i) the regime for exports and imports affected by international penalties; (ii) the regime for direct foreign investment control in Spain; and (iii) the regime for public subsidies, specifically those financed with European structural and Next Generation EU funds.
He has been a member of and advisor to various board of directors of public and private entities.
He lectures on the executive training programs at IESE Business School and on administrative law at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya.
