Specializing in tax, particularly focusing on VAT and wealth tax.

André Areias focuses his practice on national and international investment structuring transactions, corporate reorganizations, real estate investment, tax due diligence and tax litigation, mainly advising multinational groups, institutional investors and investment funds.

He provides strategic advice on indirect and wealth tax matters, advising on tax structuring of investments and businesses.

He works with a wide range of clients, including national and multinational companies from the real estate, healthcare, energy and public sectors.

Before joining Cuatrecasas, he was a tax consultant in an international consultancy firm, working in the areas of indirect tax and financial services, and he was a deputy at the Portuguese office of the State Secretary for Fiscal Affairs. He also spent two years working at another law firm.

André frequently speaks at specialized events and forums and regularly contributes to articles and analysis for leading national and international publications.

He is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association.
