Cuatrecasas advises Atom on €50 million purchase of five-star Miramar and La Florida hotels

SubscribeCuatrecasas has advised Atom—the hospitality REIT created by Bankinter and GMA—on the €50 million purchase of Hotel Miramar and Gran Hotel La Florida, two of the ten five-star luxury establishments in Barcelona.
Hotel Miramar is located on Montjuïc hillside and offers 75 rooms while Gran Hotel La Florida offers 70 rooms and is set on the side of Tibidabo mountain.
Following this important acquisition, Atom plans to refurbish both buildings to reposition them on Barcelona’s luxury hotel market. Hotel Miramar will be operated by the US chain Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, while Sunset Hospitality Group will manage Gran Hotel La Florida.
The Cuatrecasas team advising was led by Joanes Labayen, Elisabeth Errasti, Pablo Paisán and Iker Prior, and made up of lawyers Belén Conthe, Cristina Feijoo, Ane Maite Agirretxea, Garazi Azpiazu, Aitor Fernández de Landa, Sofia Olarra, Mikel Puyadena and Javier Villamía.
