Cuatrecasas advises BBVA Peru on structuring and negotiation of financing for Prize Group’s agro-industrial project in Peru

SubscribeCuatrecasas has advised BBVA Perú on the structuring and negotiation of medium-term financing for the Prize Group in Peru—a global leader in the superfoods sector, through its subsidiary Aqu Anqa II S.A.C. The proceeds will be used to fund the capital expenditures required to develop 232 hectares of productive farmland at the Aqu Anqa II agricultural estate, an agro-industrial project in La Libertad, Peru, focused on blueberry cultivation.
The financing was secured under a Peruvian guarantee scheme and a Chilean corporate guarantee. The preparation, review, and negotiation of these guarantees were coordinated with the team at the Cuatrecasas Santiago office.
Jose Goyburu, lead partner on the transaction, said: “We are delighted to have advised Banco BBVA Peru on this significant financing for the Prize Group’s agro-industrial project in Peru. The financing will support the development of 232 hectares of productive farmland at its agricultural estate in the La Libertad region to cultivate blueberries and other high-value crops.”

The Cuatrecasas Lima office’s Finance team advising on the transaction was made up of Jose Goyburu, Johanna Mosqueira, and Ana Paola Menacho, while Macarena Ravinet and Eugenio Avendaño took part from the Santiago office. Carlos Monteza and Almendra Pachari from the Lima office’s Public Law team also participated.
