Cuatrecasas has appointed Natalia Arango Botero partner in its Corporate Finance Practice and Camilo Cardona Casis partner in its Real Estate and Urban Planning Practice in Bogotá. The promotions are part of the firm’s strategy to support the careers of excellent lawyers.

Natalia Arango Botero specializes in structured and project finance and is an expert in capital markets. She advises all types of financial institutions—including multilateral organizations, commercial banks and sponsors—on complex financing transactions of highways, airports, ports, energy and infrastructure projects.  She is mentioned as a recommended lawyer in leading directories, including Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.   

Camilo Cardona specializes in real estate, urban planning and urban planning law, with over 15 years’ experience in management positions in the public sector and in law firms. He advises on real estate and urban development projects for various industries in Colombia. He is mentioned as a recommended lawyer in leading directories, including Legal 500 and Best Lawyers in Real Estate and Corporate M&A.
  
The firm's Extraordinary Partners Meeting, held today in Madrid, approved the appointment of the following lawyers as new partners: Jorge Arbex Bassols (Tax), Joana Silveira Botelho (Life Sciences & Healthcare), Álvaro Fernández Sánchez del Corral (Labor and Employment) and Pablo Ramírez Silva (Intellectual property).

Jorge Arbex Bassols is an expert in direct and indirect taxation, as well as in advising family businesses, REITs and business groups from the industrial and retail sectors on corporate matters. He also handles asset restructuring transactions. He has experience in judicial reviews and tax inspection procedures. He lectures on tax law at Universidad Autónoma of Madrid.

Joana Silveira Botelho specializes in advising pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, hospitals and foundations on regulatory matters affecting the life cycle of medicines, including research and development, authorizations, clinical trials, prices and refunds, as well as on the manufacture, distribution and promotion of medicines. She also advises on codes of ethics and professional conduct, discount systems, product liability, data protection and biotechnological projects. 

Álvaro Fernández Sánchez del Corral specializes in advising multinationals and large business groups in Spain on all areas of labor law, particularly on international labor law and worker mobility. He advises on and conducts complex investigations, often involving whistleblowing disclosures, and allegations of harassment and discrimination. He is an active member of the International Association of Young Lawyers, and regularly participates in international talks.
 
Pablo Ramírez Silva specializes in copyright, intellectual and industrial property rights, unfair competition and advertising, and image and consumer rights. He advises companies and entities from all sectors, including those linked to the entertainment, automotive, cosmetics, culture, art and new technology fields. He is a member of the Spanish group of the International Literary and Artistic Association and lectures on civil law at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
