We advised FRV on the sale of 419 megawatts (MW) in renewable projects located in the provinces of Seville, Cádiz, Córdoba and Zamora.
The sale of these projects was made as part of the strategy of Abdul Latif Jameel Energy—an independent energy producer with interests in 16 countries around the world—for a selective rotation of non-strategic assets to finance its investment plan in Spain.
With this transaction, Endesa—through its renewable subsidiary Enel Green Power España—has acquired a total 419 MW in renewable projects, located in the provinces of Seville, Cádiz, Córdoba and Zamora, which generate about 1,500 direct jobs.
The transaction also places the electricity company at over 2 GW of new capacity bought from third parties, achieving its objective of connecting new renewable power to the grid and increasing renewable capacity.
A multidisciplinary team from Cuatrecasas advised on the deal led by lawyers Marcos García, Soraya Romero and Sergio Ochagavía (Corporate and Commercial Practice), and Luis Pérez de Ayala and Isabel Álvarez (Regulatory Practice).
