Tion Renewables acquires four 104 MW solar projects in Spain from EDPR

Cuatrecasas advised Tion Renewables GmbH (Tion Renewables) on acquiring  a portfolio of four solar photovoltaic energy projects with an installed capacity of 104 MW in Spain (Aragón and Andalusia) from EDP Renovables España, S.L.U. (“EDPR”). The projects were backed by long-term power purchase agreements (“PPAs”).

This transaction, the largest carried out by Tion Renewables to date in terms of installed capacity, not just in Spain, represents an important milestone in its expansion strategy.

The Cuatrecasas team handling the advisory service was made up of lawyers  José Luis Rodríguez, Ana Laso and Juan Manuel Navajas (Corporate M&A); Miguel Cruz, David Vidal and Íñigo Várez (Finance); and Alejandro Bonitch and Ignacio Giner (Regulatory).
