Cuatrecasas has advised MATCHi
, a leading racket sports platform, on its alliance with TPC Matchpoint
, a Spanish company with one of the largest sports management systems (for venues and players) worldwide and with a strong presence in Europe (particularly Spain and Italy) and Latin America. The transaction was carried out through an additional financing by Verdane and Sprints Capital, MATCHi’s current investors.
With Swedish origins and only present on the scene 10 years, MATCHi now has over one million users and has extended its offer of comprehensive services to over 1,600 venues. It offers a system for paying for and booking courts, managing activities and courses, player partnering and automated racket rental. Easy to use, MATCHi is the trusted booking partner for the world’s largest padel operators, having achieved extremely high growth figures. After this transaction, MATCHi takes a firm step forward in its consolidation as a global racket sports ecosystem.
The team advising on the transaction was led by Cuatrecasas lawyers Kai Christian Fischer
, Saúl Sales and Mireya Fernández.
