Application of ILO Convention 190 (C190) to the national labour laws in Portugal and Spain
This year’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (including at work) on 25 November is particularly relevant, as many countries have recently ratified or developed ILO Convention 190 (C190) on Violence and Harassment at Work.
Currently, 36 countries have ratified C190 – but it is only in force in 22.
In this second of our two-part comparative guide, we look at the application of this Convention and the national labour laws in Portugal – which has yet to ratify C190 – and Spain, where the ratified C190 entered force in May this year.
