Cuatrecasas has advised the Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP) on structuring and negotiating a financing of up to USD 25 million for an agro-industrial company. The financing will support the development and setting up of agricultural production units in Olmos for exports of avocados, grapes, and other high-value crops.

The Olmos Project, located in the department of Lambayeque on Peru’s northern coast, is one of the country’s leading agro-export hubs. Through the project, 43,500 hectares of desert have been converted into productive farmland.

Jose Goyburu, lead partner on the transaction, said: “This transaction enables the Banco de Crédito del Perú to continue supporting the growth of one of the country’s most dynamic agro-export regions. We structured financing that expands the agro-export capacity of companies in the sector.”

The advisory team from the Cuatrecasas Lima office was made up of Jose Goyburu, Johanna Mosqueira, and Ana Paola Menacho, from the Finance Practice; and Carlos Monteza, Luis Olazabal , and Almendra Pachari from the Public Law Practice.
