Cuatrecasas has advised a consortium comprising Indar Kartera, the BBK Foundation, the Basque Government, and Teknei, on the acquisition of Ayesa Digital, a global provider of technology and engineering services present in 24 countries across Europe, America, Africa, Asia, and Oceania.

The €480 million transaction represents a key strategic step for Ayesa Digital. Established as a leader in innovation and digital transformation, the company will play a key role in strengthening the Basque Country’s productive fabric. This focuses on promoting the digitalization of companies and institutions by developing capabilities in strategic areas such as AI, cybersecurity, process automation, data management, and quantum computing.

Ayesa Digital is currently one of the five largest suppliers in the sector in Spain. In this new phase, the project will provide continuity of employment and generate opportunities to join a global workforce of over 11,000 employees, of which 2,000 reside in the three Basque territories.

The Cuatrecasas advisory team was made up of lawyers José Ramón Berecibar and Santiago Bayo (Corporate); and Enrique Carrera and Ander Romay (Competition).
