Cuatrecasas stands out as a benchmark in the Chambers Global 2026 ranking, the leading legal directory that ranks the top global law firms and lawyers, with a particular focus on international components and crossborder transactions.

The results from this edition represent an exceptional achievement for Cuatrecasas, which moves up to Band 1 in six key practice areas: Banking & Finance (Spain); Corporate/M&A: Highly Regarded (Mexico); Corporate/M&A: High-end Capability (Spain); Corporate/M&A: The Elite (Portugal); Intellectual Property (Spain); and International & Crossborder Transactions (Spain).

The firm reached the highest band in the ranking in 10 of the 17 practice areas where it is recognized in the Iberian Peninsula, moving it ahead of its main competitors. In Spain, Cuatrecasas ranks in Band 1 in nine practice areas and maintains its position in Band 2 in two practice areas. Portugal moves up to Band 1 in one practice area and remains in Band 2 in five areas, strengthening its position among the main transactional practice areas. Regarding individual results, 11 new lawyers either moved up or entered the ranking in both jurisdictions.

In Latin America, Cuatrecasas boosts its status in the directory with the promotion or entry of five practice areas. Particular highlights include (i) Mexico’s entry into Band 1 in Corporate/M&A: Highly Regarded; (ii) Peru’s entry into Band 3 in Dispute Resolution: Arbitration; and (iii) Chile's ranking in Band 4 in Banking & Finance. Chile and Peru were given the Spotlight ranking in the International & Crossborder Capabilities category. Individually, the firm achieved 19 improvements in Latin America.
