The multinational OPDEnergy, specializing in developing, financing, building and operating renewable assets, has secured $100 million in financing from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) to build and operate a 50 MW wind farm and an 89.4 MW solar farm in Regions VI and III of Chile, respectively.
OPDEnergy was advised by a Cuatrecasas team led by Mexico City office partner León López Iglesias. Partner José Higinio Núñez and lawyers Alberto de Villa, Juan Carlos Galicia and Ana Isabel Echeverría also worked on the transaction.
