Cuatrecasas has advised Erco Energía on a COP 25 billion financing extended by Bancolombia to Planta Solar La Martina and Patrimonio Autónomo P.A. La Martina. These resources will allow the company to strengthen its financial profile, covering the project's implementation costs and enhancing its operations to continue contributing to Colombia's energy matrix.

Project La Martina has the capacity to generate up to 16.7 MWp through 34,000 bifacial solar panels and is the first solar farm in Colombia to incorporate a large-scale energy storage system, through a 6.9 MWh battery—a system that allows it to generate up to an additional 2,200 MWh per year. In addition to increasing the efficiency of the project, this innovation contributes to reducing 339 tons of CO2 emissions per year.

With the financial consolidation of this project, Erco Energía reinforces its commitment to a more sustainable and reliable energy future for the country, while Cuatrecasas positions itself as a benchmark in energy transition transactions.

The Cuatrecasas team handling this advisory service was made up of lawyers Ana María Sánchez, Steffany Serebrenik, Simon Hakim, and Mariana Vanegas (Finance); Jaime Moya (Corporate M&A); Manuel Gómez, Emilio Torres, and Nicolás Villaneda (Infrastructures); Margarita Llorente and Laura Pinzón (Real Estate); and Ariana Fernández and Valentina Vélez (Tax).
