The Cuatrecasas lawyers advised Lightsource BP on its largest renewables deal in Europe, in which it signed agreements to buy a portfolio of 14 photovoltaic projects
The Cuatrecasas lawyers advised Lightsource BP on its largest renewables deal in Europe, in which it signed agreements to buy a portfolio of 14 photovoltaic projects totaling 1,060 MW in Spain from the RIC Energy Group.
This move by the BP subsidiary consolidates the British oil and gas company as one of the key players in renewables in Spain. Lightsource BP and RIC Energy will work in partnership to develop the projects, which comprise 14 solar power plants located in Madrid, Andalusia, and Castile and León.
The Cuatrecasas multidisciplinary advisory team was made up of the following lawyers: Marcos García, Luis Pérez de Ayala, Alejandro Bonitch, Isabel Campos, Ana Álvarez Freijeiro, Roger de Oliete, Miguel Ángel Castaño and Flavia Terrés.
