Cuatrecasas advises Q-Energy on selling portfolio of 73 solar power plants to Canadian investor CDPQ
Cuatrecasas advised Q-Energy on selling a portfolio of solar photovoltaic assets regulated in Spain to the Canadian investment firm Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (“CDPQ”). The portfolio is made up of 73 assets located throughout Spain with a total capacity of 216 MW that produce 355,000 GWh annually. The Cuatrecasas team advising on this transaction was made up of Francisco Martínez Maroto, Sora Park and Álvaro Vierna. The transaction’s closure will be finalized over the coming months. After this transaction, Q-Energy will continue to completely manage the assets owned by CDPQ, including managing and supervising the 73 assets, their operation and maintenance. Since 2007, Q-Energy has invested over €6 billion in the sector, particularly in solar photovoltaic assets, concentrated solar power assets and wind assets.
