Last week, we held the breakfast session “How to act in case of unannounced visits of the Tax #Inspectorate?” at our Zaragoza office. Unannounced visits by the #Tax Inspectorate are increasingly more common. Inspectors show up at the taxpayers’ premises and request access to any tax-related information and documents. Anything that takes place during the inspection will be decisive for the conclusions.

The speakers were the partner Salvador José Llopis and the associate Beatriz Alba. They explained the taxpayers’ rights and the inspection body’s obligations and powers from a practical perspective.

According to Tax partner Salvador José Llopis: “We addressed the questions arising from a situation that creates uncertainty. We dealt with the legal aspects of tax inspection proceedings from simple premises: Should I allow access? Can I refuse?”

Tax lawyer Beatriz Alba assured that “we hopefully gave confidence to the audience on how to deal with this situation with the assistance of a professional.”
