He advises financial institutions on transactional and regulatory matters, including on banking restructurings and on M&A operations in the financial sector, prudential and conduct rules, governance, payment services and FinTech, and investment services. In the capital markets area, he mainly advises on public offers, private placements and securitizations.
Between 2015 and 2018, Francisco Soares Machado worked as an advisor to the Vice-President of the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg. Previously, between 2012 and 2015, he was an advisor in the cabinet of the Minister of Finance in the Portuguese Government, where he worked on financial stability and banking regulation matters.
