Specialist in energy and infrastructure

Alejandro Cortés joined Cuatrecasas in Mexico City in 2017. Since joining, he has actively participated in providing comprehensive legal advice to leading companies in the energy sector on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, as well as on economic competition.

He regularly advises national and international public and private sector companies on matters relating to the value chain in the hydrocarbon industry, ranging from hydrocarbon exploration and extraction to public retail transactions, as well as on the generation, selling and supply of electricity.

He also advises on merger control for transactions in many sectors, including energy, infrastructure, finance, food marketing and retail sales.
