Professor of labor law and social security law at Universitat de València, and member of firm’s Knowledge and Innovation Group.

José María Goerlich collaborates with the firm as an academic consultant through the corresponding agreements under article 83 of the University Act.

He was a substitute judge at the High Court of Justice of the autonomous region of Valencia (1989-1990), counsel at the Constitutional Court under a temporary assignment (1990-1992) and an arbitrator under the Canary Islands dispute resolution system (1996).

From 2013 to 2021, he was a member of the Economic and Social Council as an expert appointed by the government and, currently, he is an arbitrator at the Labor Arbitration Court of the autonomous region of Valencia.

He has also collaborated as an academic consultant at other leading law firms.

He is editor-in-chief of the Laboral and Enfoque Laboral collections (Tirant lo Blanch), and co-editor-in-chief of the journal Labos. Revista de Derecho del Trabajo y Protección Social.

He is the author of several publications on his different specialty areas: individual and collective labor relations, social security, and administrative and court intervention for labor relations.
