Specialist in contractual and non-contractual civil liability, advising clients, particularly from the engineering and construction sector, on a wide range of commercial disputes; an expert in comparative contract law, lex mercatoria, and uniform law.

Miguel Ángel Malo specializes in commercial arbitration, mediation and litigation, representing private entities in state courts and national and international arbitration courts, including the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

He is a CEDR-accredited mediator (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) and is registered in the register of mediators of the Ministry of Justice. He is also a member of the FIDE Mediation Center and of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

He lectures on comparative civil law at IE Business School. He also lectures on international arbitration and on international construction agreements in several forums.

He has written monographs, as well as many articles on comparative law of obligations and contracts, and on lex mercatoria.
