Cuatrecasas has advised the shareholders of the Anders Group on selling their majority shareholding in the companies that make up the group in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay in favor of Safic-Alcan.

Due to its structure, the transfer of the group's majority stake allows for the continuity of its management functions, promoting stability and good corporate governance, maximizing benefits for all parties, as well as ensuring adequate business continuity in each jurisdiction.

The Cuatrecasas Lima office led the transaction, which involved the transfer of a majority stake in ten companies incorporated in nine jurisdictions that make up the Anders Group. The transaction was carried out through the coordinated work of the firm's four Latin American offices, leveraging the regional platform to integrate teams, harmonize regulatory frameworks, and meet milestones across multiple time zones.

Oscar Trelles, managing partner of the Cuatrecasas Lima office and lead counsel in this transaction, commented, "We are delighted to see how a regionally successful Peruvian company like the Anders Group, present in nine jurisdictions, is attracting the interest of world-class companies like Safic-Alcan to continue its growth."
