Oscar Trelles coordinates the M&A and Private Equity Practice in the Lima office. He specializes in financing and project finance. He has participated in some of the most sophisticated and important national and international M&A transactions, covering multiple jurisdictions in various sectors, including mining, energy, infrastructure, construction, finance, retail, agriculture, technology, industrial, and healthcare.
Before joining Cuatrecasas, he worked in different international law firms in Lima and New York, including Curtis, Mallet - Prevost, Colt & Mosle and Simpson Thacher & Barlett, where he participated in complex multijurisdictional transactions.
He is a member of the New York and Lima bar associations.
He lectures on M&A and project finance in the Master of Laws at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and in the International Financial Management Program at Universidad de Piura.
He also contributes to publications and writes legal articles for different specialized journals and other print media.
