SubscribeCuatrecasas has advised Authentic Brands Group (“ABG”) on obtaining authorization from the Mexican National Antitrust Commission to complete the acquisition of the Dockers brand in Mexico and Colombia, as well as on signing a license agreement with Liverpool stores to use the brand in Mexico.
The transaction, valued at USD 373.281 million, represents a significant step for the growth of ABG and for the commercial development of the Dockers brand in Mexico.
Cuatrecasas strengthens its ability to advise clients on complex transactions with economic competition components in Latin America, providing comprehensive legal support in strategic transactions for international clients.
“This transaction required obtaining competition-related authorizations in several international jurisdictions, which posed a significant coordination challenge. It has been a pleasure for Cuatrecasas to advise ABG in two of these jurisdictions, Mexico and Colombia, providing a comprehensive perspective in a particularly demanding regulatory environment,” stated our partner Daniella Ramírez.
The advisory services were provided by a team of lawyers led by Santiago Ferrer and Daniella Ramírez, from the Mexico office, along with Alejandra Palacios, Luis Fernando Díaz, and Manuel Rodríguez. Natalia Fernández participated in the transaction from Bogotá.
