SubscribeCuatrecasas has advised BBVA Perú, COFIDE, and MUFG Bank (Japón) on a USD 190 million financing made available to Sociedad Concesionaria Anillo Vial S.A.C. for a primary beltway project (“Proyecto Anillo Vial Periférico”), which is being developed under a public-private partnership structure. The financing proceeds will be used to fund the land acquisition and clearance phase of the project and are secured through a cash flow trust arrangement.
This initial financial closing will enable the concessionaire to continue acquiring and clearing the relevant land parcels required for the development of Sections 1 and 3, a critical milestone in infrastructure projects of this nature and scale. As a result, the concessionaire will be able to move forward safely and systematically with the various project milestones.
This beltway is one of the principal road infrastructure projects promoted by the Private Investment Promotion Agency–Proinversión Perú and is expected to benefit over 4.5 million people by improving connectivity between Lima and Callao.
Aldo Reggiardo, lead partner on the transaction, said: “We are proud to have participated in the financing of the land acquisition and clearance phase of one of the country’s most important infrastructure projects. Land clearance is the first step toward the start of construction, and we are pleased to have contributed to a transaction that, once implemented, will be key to the country’s development.”
The advisory team from the Cuatrecasas Lima office was made up of Aldo Reggiardo, Alejandro Zorrilla, and Luis Olazabal (Finance): and Carlos Monteza, Jorge Alvarado, and Mario Lanfranco (Public Law).
