Cuatrecasas advises Blasson Property on joint venture with Axa to buy Hotel Sofía Barcelona

SubscribeCuatrecasas has advised Blasson Property on its alliance with Axa to create a joint venture through which they have acquired the companies owning and operating Hotel Sofia Barcelona from the Canadian management company Brookfield. Located on Avenida Diagonal, this five-star hotel has 500 rooms and other luxurious spaces. This transaction has involved an investment of approximately €180 million.
Blasson, for which this transaction is significant, has signed a hotel management contract under which, and to maximize the asset’s value, coordination and supervisory services will be provided.
The team handling the transaction was made up of Cuatrecasas lawyers Ignacio Escrivá de Romaní, Joaquín Garaulet, María Igea and Erik Serrano.
