SubscribeCuatrecasas has advised the British asset manager Ashmore Andino II – FCP and Ashmore Andean Fund II, LP, on selling its entire stake in S.F. Convías, S.A.S., to Globalvia Inversiones, S.A.U. S.F. Convías is the concession holder of a 5.4 km highway in Barranquilla (Colombia), known as the “Port Highway.”
The construction—developed under a concession from the district of Barranquilla—is the most important road concession in the district, as it carries the cargo traffic from the port and free trade zone. It also provides an alternative route for the entry and exit of traffic between Barranquilla and the Department of Magdalena.
The transaction is a milestone for Globalvia as it marks the company’s entry into the Colombian infrastructure market.
The Cuatrecasas advisory team was made up of lawyers Felipe Mariño, Ana María Sánchez, Jaime Vargas, Álvaro Rueda, Nicolás López, Santiago Mendoza and María Salomé Perea.
