Cuatrecasas advises Banco Security, Banco de Crédito e Inversiones, and Penta Seguros de Vida on granting syndicated loan to Ameris

The Cuatrecasas team in Chile has advised Banco Security, Banco de Crédito e Inversiones, and Penta Seguros de Vida on granting a syndicated loan to Ameris. On the team, led by partner Macarena Ravinet, were Tomás Montes and Martín Dell’Oro.

The lawyers advised the banks on granting a bullet syndicated loan to Ameris, a key fund administrator in the Chilean market. Ameris will use the loan to buy shares in international feeder funds to continue with its expansion plan in the region. It was particularly challenging to negotiate the interest rate, the credit conditions and the transaction’s closure, due to the current volatility of the Chilean market arising from the political and social uncertainty in the country.
