Cuatrecasas has advised Erco Energía on the closing of the financing granted by Bancolombia, for over COP 40 billion, to develop the Rokra solar plant. The transaction was structured as a financial lease for subsidiary Erco Saldaña and Patrimonio Autónomo Rokra.

The financing enhances Erco Energía’s bankability by providing greater financial and operational flexibility, optimizing its debt profile, and allowing the company to preserve liquidity for further growth.

The Rokra solar plant, located in Saldaña (Tolima, Colombia) will have an installed capacity to generate 9.9 MW of energy. This will enable Erco Energía to continue contributing to the region’s development and to furthering a more diverse, efficient, and sustainable energy matrix in Colombia.

The Cuatrecasas advisory team was made up of lawyers Ana María Sánchez, Steffany Serebrenik, Simon Hakim, and Mariana Vanegas (Finance); Jaime Moya (Corporate M&A); Manuel Gómez and Nicolás Villaneda (Infrastructure); Laura Pinzón (Real Estate); and Ariana Fernández and Valentina Vélez (Tax).
