Specialist in national disputes, and national and international civil and commercial arbitration

María Pérez de Prada has advised on many national and international pre-litigation issues and lawsuits, particularly in relation to commercial and contractual disputes and mainly involving the construction and real estate sectors. She has participated in national disputes, and national and international arbitration proceedings carried out in Spanish and in English. 

In May 2021, she defended her doctoral thesis “El nombramiento judicial de árbitros: aspectos controvertidos” (The legal appointment of arbitrators: controversial aspects), for which she was granted a summa cum laude honors, with the possibility of obtaining a special distinction. 

She is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and of the Young Board of the Women in a Legal World association.

She lectures in master programs at different universities and academic centers (University College of Financial Studies, Centro de Estudios Garrigues, and Universidad Rey Juan Carlos I) and actively participates in mentoring and legal-clinic programs.

She has written several publications and law review articles relating to her specialty. She participates in innovative teaching projects coordinated by the Spanish National Distance Education University.
