SubscribeCuatrecasas has advised HRA Uniquímica on the signing of a binding agreement regarding the potential acquisition of HRA Uniquímica and HRA Ingredients by Prayon, a Belgium-based global leader in phosphorus chemistry.
Beyond its transactional aspect, this agreement holds a significant strategic value for HRA Uniquímica and HRA Ingredients, as it is part of their joint plans for growth and international expansion. Its objective is to generate greater value for clients and strengthen both companies' ability to offer more innovative, competitive, and globally reaching solutions.
Prayon has a track record of over 130 years in the market, a presence in over 100 countries, and production facilities in Belgium, France, Switzerland, Morocco, and the United States. The transaction is subject to securing the required regulatory approvals.
"Through these advisory services, we successfully facilitated mutual understanding between our client and a world-class strategic partner, capable of enhancing their capabilities while maintaining close ties to the local market. This combination of experiences will enable HRA to offer a broader portfolio, expand its geographic reach, strengthen its research capabilities, and become more competitive in the international market," noted Jaime Moya, a Corporate and M&A partner at Cuatrecasas who led the advisory team, assisted by Steffany Serebrenik, Nicolás Gaviria, and María Garavito.
