Specialist in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and banking and finance, having participated in many landmark transactions in the Chilean market.
Roberto Guerrero has centered his practice on the areas of commercial, corporate and finance law. Representing national and international clients—including US, European and Asian multinationals—he has participated in designing, negotiating and implementing complex deals in many sectors of the economy, such as commerce, energy, finance, fishing, food and beverages, industry, infrastructure, mining, services, and telecommunications. He focuses on high-impact advisory services and transactions, which have earned him international recognition.
Before joining Cuatrecasas, he worked as a foreign associate at US law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York.
He is a professor of the School of Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (“the PUC”), where he has lectured on commercial law since 1995. From 2010 to 2015, he served as the dean of the PUC School of Law, after having served as vice dean, and previously as director of studies of the Master in Business Law.
