Cuatrecasas has concluded the 2025 edition of its Mentor Plan, an initiative promoted by Campus Cuatrecasas and the Knowledge and Innovation Group, designed to offer continuous, rigorous and eminently practical training to the firm's young lawyers as they enter professional life. The program combined cross-sectoral content with specialized training in the areas of
commercial law,
litigation and
arbitration, and
labor law, with the aim of accelerating skills development and strengthening a comprehensive understanding of legal practice.
Throughout the year, the 61 participants from different offices across Spain have followed a structured training program consisting of in-person and online sessions on various practice areas. They have covered key subjects such as corporate law, contracting and transactions, litigation and arbitration, finance, real estate, labor, cross-sectoral knowledge, personal skills, ethics, and money laundering prevention, with a practical approach and geared towards the real challenges of professional practice.
With a schedule designed to maximize progressive learning and group cohesion, the program opened with in-person sessions on February 13 and 14 and held an additional in-person session at the Madrid office on April 1. The rest of the program was developed through Zoom sessions, from February 18 to December 3, facilitating sustained and flexible follow-up throughout the year.
In the words of Ikhlas Nadi Jagdal, a training specialist in the firm, "The Mentor Plan is a key tool in the initial stages of our lawyers' careers at the firm. It not only allows them to develop legal skills but also to build synergies and connections that support their growth. This initiative reaffirms our commitment to ongoing training and development. We thank all the speakers for their involvement, which has made it possible for the program to remain a benchmark year after year, and we congratulate the participants for their commitment and dedication throughout the entire experience.”
Olazt Cabanas, a participant in this latest edition of the Mentor Plan, commented: “My assessment of the Mentor Plan is very positive. It is a useful program, well-aligned to how the firm runs, with practical content, and a global perspective that is key to our daily work. The sessions run smoothly and the online format makes it easy to participate from all the offices. The speakers also add significant value by combining technical knowledge with practical experience and real-world examples.”
Because the program is taught by the firm's lawyers, it allows junior staff to learn technical criteria, experiences, and best practices closely linked to current market issues and trends. The interaction between speakers and participants has strengthened knowledge sharing and fostered lasting professional relationships, contributing to the effective integration of junior talent into teams and their career advancement in the organization.
