Decree-Law 115/2023 of December 15 amends the legal regimes of the Work Compensation Fund and the Guarantee Fund for Work Compensation

In this publication we summarize the main changes introduced by Decree-Law 115/2023, of December 15, which reformulates the legal regimes of the Work Compensation Fund and the Guarantee Fund for Work Compensation.
We highlight the new purposes and rules of access and mobilization of the Work Compensation Fund , which becomes a closed accounting fund, as well as the individual and mandatory adherence to the Guarantee Fund for Work Compensation, which ensures the payment of half of the compensation due for termination of the employment contract.
In this publication we also highlight the extinction and suspension of some obligations of the employers regarding these funds.
