SubscribeEnvironmental, Social and Governance (ESG) started as a trend in response to stakeholders’ demands for businesses to become responsible for the role they play in society and redefine their ways of doing business to create a more sustainable world. The trend has been embraced by multiple multinational groups across different industries and jurisdictions and is now becoming the new normal. As it is here to stay, as everything in life, it brings with it certain tax challenges that need to be addressed.
