Cuatrecasas brings together latest hires in Barcelona to share values, culture and professional development in immersive program

SubscribeFrom October 22 to 24, Cuatrecasas held the 29th edition of El Compendio, its institutional welcome program for new hires who have joined the company over the past year. The event, held at the Atzavara Hotel in Santa Susanna (Barcelona), aims to familiarize new professionals with the history, values, and culture of the firm, as well as strengthen team cohesion and a sense of belonging.
The agenda combined strategic and professional development content with networking opportunities among colleagues from Barcelona, Bilbao, Bogotá, Girona, Lima, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Málaga, Mexico City, Palma, Porto, San Sebastián, Santiago, Seville, Valencia, and Zaragoza.
The opening session covered the history of the firm and its future prospects, presented by partner Raimundo Segura; this was followed by a segment on ethics and good governance by human resources director, Núria Martín, and compliance director, Jesús Ortega. Over the next two days, several sessions were held on career development, continuous feedback, and talent, with Anabel Campo, Verónica Encabo, Jennifer García, Gemma Villalbí, and Núria Rexach participating.
Outdoor activities focused on collaboration and teamwork were also conducted, along with a presentation on the art of cooperation. The program also featured a presentation by the firm’s managing partner, Javier Fontcuberta, entitled “A Project with a Future,” and by Luis Pérez de Ayala, vice chair of Cuatrecasas, who closed the event talking about lessons learned, professional experiences, and business vision.
This year’s edition was led by lawyers Vanessa Castelló, Elías Gallardo, and Miguel Pereira da Silva, and international accounting manager Víctor Rodríguez, who combined technical content, corporate culture, and networking, to foster a dynamic and engaging program format.
