Cuatrecasas ESG director and coordinator of Business and Human Rights.

Elisabeth de Nadal specializes in international litigation, human rights and international politics. Thanks to this specialty and her experience in social entrepreneurship and the development of impact projects, she applies a cross-sectoral vision when incorporating the firm’s ESG responsibilities in the framework of our activity and our services, and in the firm’s relations with clients and the market.

Coordinator of the firm’s Business and Human Rights Practice, she has extensive experience in identifying the risk of adverse human rights impacts; designing and implementing systems for the prevention, management and reparation of damages—both in clients’ operations and in their supply chains and transactions—and representing clients in disputes and litigation.

She combines her training and experience in business law, ESG and human rights with the objective of identifying and building more effective connections and solutions between business law, the business activity, human rights and the environment.

She was actively involved in launching several international social impact projects, including Democracia Abierta, NeedLab, Institute IFIT, Verificat, The Climate Infrastructure Partnership and The Higher Education Alliance for Refugees.

She developed her career as a lawyer between 1996 and 2013 in Brussels, London and Barcelona in the firm’s Litigation and Arbitration Practice. In 2014, she joined the firm’s general management as deputy managing partner to introduce and coordinate cross-cutting strategic projects aligned with Cuatrecasas’s firm commitment to include corporate responsibility in its business activity and strategies.

Until 2020, she was the Cuatrecasas representative on the Executive Committee of the United Nations Global Compact's Spanish network, where she was secretary general.
