SubscribeFrom October 21 to 23, Cuatrecasas held the 30th edition of El Compendio, its induction program aimed at facilitating integration and strengthening ties between new hires from different offices and jurisdictions who joined the firm in the last year.
Once again, the Hotel Atzavara in Santa Susanna (Barcelona) hosted the event. Over 200 new hires participated—coming from Spain, Portugal and Latin America—all of which had the opportunity to delve into the firm’s history, values and culture. In an environment that promoted team cohesion and a sense of belonging, the agenda combined strategic content and professional development sessions for the attendees.
Luis Pérez de Ayala, senior partner at Cuatrecasas, gave the welcome speech in the first session. The subsequent sessions were led by Raimundo Segura (partner), who covered the different stages of Cuatrecasas's history; and Jesús Ortega (Compliance director), who addressed the issues the organization faces regarding ethics and good governance.
The program was rounded out by sessions on professional development and the experiences and opportunities that arise during the early years of legal practice, with contributions from María Colom, Jordi Franqués, Jennifer García, Abigail Linares, Núria Martín, Inma Parramón and Núria Rexach. Like previous editions, the program included outdoor activities aimed at promoting collaboration and teamwork.
At the closing session, partner Emilio Martínez examined the outlook for the legal sector, while Javier Fontcuberta, the firm’s managing partner, provided an in-depth look at the future of Cuatrecasas.
This year, the program was led by lawyers Tiago Martins de Oliveira, Javier Rovira and Julia Signes, together with Verónica Encabo (head of performance & rewards). In addition to sharing insights into their professional careers, they developed a dynamic and practical program designed to encourage active participation throughout.
