SubscribeCuatrecasas has held the latest edition of its Finishing Stages Program, the senior associate stage which focused on “leadership and team management.” The internal initiative is aimed at lawyers who joined the firm or were promoted internally to senior associate in 2026.
The initiative provides a space for learning and collaboration. Participants can develop new professional skills, share experiences and reflect on their future at the firm, helping to generate a sense of belonging and promotion.
Held in Galicia from September 28 to October 2, the program brought together 19 new senior associates from the Barcelona, Bilbao, Lisbon, Madrid and Porto offices to complete four stages of the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James).
At the end of each stage, partners Martí Adroer and Rebeca Rodríguez held workshops and talks with Núria Martín (head of People & Culture). They discussed the transition from senior associate to partner and the expectations associated with this new responsibility. The participants also attended a leadership workshop run by external lawyers.
Gemma Villalbí (head of learning, People & Culture) commented on this edition: “We addressed this key moment in the lawyers’ careers from two perspectives: with their team, focusing on situational leadership tailored to each individual and task, and reviewing the firm’s resources for team management; and with themselves, analyzing the essential aspects of becoming a partner—not as an end point, but as the beginning of a new professional chapter with new responsibilities.”
